Drew Ziehnert

Drew Ziehnert is a full time NYS All Season Fishing Guide, published Outdoor Writer, Tournament Angler, and the owner of Ziehnert Guide Service LLC. In 2020, Drew graduated from Siena College with an English Education degree and planned to be an High School English Teacher, but started guiding during his student teaching and never looked back. Ziehnert Guide Service LLC primarily runs Open Water and Ice Fishing Trips on Lake George, the "Queen of American Lakes" and Saratoga Lake, along with some other smaller bodies of water. He now guides over 120 trips a year, writes for the "Saratoga Today Newspaper" the "Saratoga Living Magazine" and fishes bass tournaments in his free time. Being on the water everyday has its perks, as Drew took 3rd this year in the Bass Category of the King George Derby and won multiple tournaments on Saratoga Lake this season including angler of the year in 2021. Despite never making it into the classroom, being able to teach people on the water drives him to continue guiding and inspiring the next generation of fishermen.
